One of the most famous screen beauties of her generation, Catherine Zeta Jones has fast been gaining a reputation for her Bingo parties.

75 Ball Bingo Games

Even though Catherine is originally from Wales, she is spending a large chunk of her time in America with her husband and children, and so she plays US-rules Bingo games.

The 75 Ball game card has a 5 x 5 grid containing 25 out of a possible 75 numbers. The grids have five rows, each starting with the letters of the word ‘BINGO’.

Bingo is won on patterns, such as a diagonal, straight up, straight down or ‘coverall’, which is a card with all the blocks filled. As soon as a player fills all the blocks in the pattern needed to win, the game is won.

Christmas Bingo Parties

Catherine Zeta Jones hosts Christmas Bingo parties every year for her family and close friends, which are rumoured to be a huge hit.

Here’s how a typical Christmas Bingo party works:

Special cards are made that have Christmas symbols or traditional numbers for players to ‘Bingo’ on, which is a variation of the usual Bingo game.
The pictures on the special Christmas game cards can be symbols of holiday-related things like Christmas trees, holly berries, nativity scenes, snowflakes and such.
Players then cross off items as they are called, and the winner of the game is the player who has marked off either all the items on their card, or five items in a row (down, across and diagonally).
Another festive variation of Christmas Bingo is traditional number Bingo, but instead of calling “Bingo” when a player wins, he calls “Santa” or “Merry Christmas”. The games using special holiday cards can also be played with this variation.

Catherine Zeta Jones is clearly as stylish about her Bingo as she is about everything else.
